Ted Teach of New Carlisle, OH is the WAMM Fly-In long-distance record holder. Ted's home airport is Barnhart Memorial (3OH0), east of Dayton, Ohio. This was his fourth return flight across the USA in this lovely Mite. It took three sleeps to get from Ohio to California for the May, 2005 WAMM Fly-In. Below is a map of the route he took to Porterville, CA.

N4122 is a 1953 M-18C. It was totally restored to original, including the paint scheme, in 1995. It was a winner at both Oshkosh and Sun 'n Fun. It has a leather interior, metal prop, 760 channel comm, Northstar LORAN, and King mode C transponder in a custom panel. Ted installed an approved belt-driven alternator in 1997.

The Mite Site records show that N4122 was owned by Frank V. McCay Jr. of Salt Lake City, UT from 1963 to 1974, and Richard Bacon of Dallas, TX in 1994.
